THE OTHER FINISH LINE
A lot can happen in between the final edit of a book and hitting the publish button. At Text I worked on the final stretch by defining a position for the book in the retail market. This involved creating sales documents that
identified key selling points, background information and media targets.
In addition to media campaigns I also led projects such as the Text Prize for Young Adult & Children's Writing. I held stakeholder meetings, generated press coverage and managed teams internally to meet key

Next, I figured out how to connect with the book's potential readers. To do this I built relationships with key media in Australia and New Zealand, pitched titles to relevant publications and organised media and events on behalf of authors to coincide with publication.
